YOUTH TOURNAMENTS IN SUMMER 2008

From late May until end June 2008 Football Passion competed in a few tournament right here in Singapore.

25 May 2008 - JSSL Arsenal U10 Super Cup: We took our 2 x U10 teams to the JSSL Arsenal Super Cup organised for the top 6 teams finishing in their league. Both U10 teams competed extremely well and qualfied for the quarterfinals were they were narrowly defeated.

7 June 2008  - Mini Euro 2008 Indoor Championships: We took 2 x U10 teams and 1 x U14 team to the indoor tournament at the Swiss Club, Singapore. A tournament  to mark the beginning of the Euro Championship in Switzerland & Austria. This day was very interesting, all the kids felt very excited and played well. The U14 won the competition after a very tricky game, it was hard but they managed to succeed.  Our 2 x U10  teams fought well and finally finished in 2nd and 4th position.

15 June 2008 - Veterans FC Junior Soccer Challenge Trophy: We sent 4 teams to the Veterans FC tournament on Sunday 15 June 08. It was well organised, kids played very well against local teams. The U8 and U14 finished second, they were defeated in the final after a brilliant tournament. Eventhough their strong will and zeal the two teams of U10 did not pass the qualifying round.
